IconicReach Debuts At Star-Studded Sundance

Influencer marketing platform IconicReach made its public debut this month at the Sundance Film Festival, founded by Robert Redford. The Sundance Institute is a nonprofit organization that actively advances the work of independent storytellers in film and theatre. The film festival takes place annually in Park City, Utah, and is the largest independent film festival in the United States where only the who’s who of the entertainment industry attends.

IconicReach partnered with AP (Associated Press) to create the pop-up IconicReach Lounge, an exclusive destination for celebrities, artists and influencers to promote their new films, relax between events, and learn more about the platform. Actress Priyanka Chopra picked up an Iconic Reach beanie while promoting her new film “A Kid Like Jake,” a story she says “humanizes the struggle of parents trying to do right by their kid.” Rapper/actor Common spoke to IconicReach staff about his movie, “The Tale.” Joaquin Phoenix, Jonah Hill and Jack Black, who all star in one of the most talked about Sundance films, “Don’t Worry He Won’t Get Far On Foot” all came by to sign the IconicReach Lounge wall of fame before premiering their new film about an alcoholic quadriplegic cartoonist bouncing back from rock bottom. Josh Duhamel posed for pictures in the lounge with fellow cast members from his new film depicting the “Unsolved” murder cases of rappers Tupac Shakur and Notorious “Biggie” Smalls airing on the USA Network this February.

Over the three-day activation, a slew of A-list actors and celebrities visited the IconicReach Lounge and learned about the platform, including, but not limited to, Hillary Swank, Usher, Maggie Gyllenhaal, RJ Mitte (Breaking Bad), Denis O’hare (True Blood), Corey Feldman, Meagan Good, Jason Ritter, Jason Segel, Idris Elba, Haley Joel Osmont, Jay Ellis, Terry Crews, Gloria Allred, Simon Hellberg, Garrett Hedlund, Nick Offerman, Corey Feldman, Jacob Young, Chloe Sevigny, Devon Franklin, Grace Gummer, and Susie Castillo. Brands including The Design House, Herb + Orchard, and Island Block Radio enrolled and were intrigued by this new method of finding influencers for future campaigns.

LA Clippers FHN ft. Apl (Black Eyed Peas), Power 106’s DJ E-Man & DJ E-Rock & More

Clippers Filipino Heritage Night was organized this year by the IconicReach team and DJ E-Man of Power 106, who were contacted by fellow Power 106 radio DJ E-Rock by the Clippers marketing team after working with him on other projects with the San Francisco 49ers and Giants. Erock reached out to both longtime friends knowing their history producing high profile & community events for artists like Jay-Z, Rihanna, Kendrick & Justin Timberlake at MySpace.com and a weekly celebrity basketball game at various high-schools across LA and one large annual event at USC with artists like Chris Brown and Justin Bieber with Power 106.

The special night’s performances included Apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas featuring his artist, Jessica Reynoso that he met on The Voice Philippines and also sang the national anthem beautifully that night. Throughout the evening, DJ E-Rock and E-Man joined resident DJ Dense on the turntables for special dance cam moments that included music from Filipino artists like Bruno Mars, Black Eyed Peas & P-Lo.

Post Clippers Filipino Night Heritage game, Fil-Am influencers joined winning fans who won the opportunity to play on the Staples Center court on either Team APL or Team E-Man. Players included actors/brothers Dante and Dion Basco, bay area artist P-Lo, fashion desinger Gee Crooks, KIIS FM 102.7 host Manny Streetz, choreographer/artist Brian Puspos, producer/artist August Rigo, Allen Palos of MyxTV and top nightlife promoters Anthony “Presents” Schlander and Myron “Marten” De Leon. Filipino basketball celebrity, Kobe Paras was a co-captain on Team Apl.
